
Additional U.S. Visa Categories for Unique Profiles
L1A/L1B – Intra-Company Transfer Visa-
Transfer to the U.S. under your current employer.
L1A is for managers/executives, and L1B is for employees with specialized knowledge. Ideal for multinational companies with U.S. branches.
L2 – Dependent Visa for L1 Holders-
Spouses and children (under 21) of L1 visa holders are eligible for the L2 visa. Spouses can apply for EAD (Employment Authorization Document) to work in the U.S.
O1 – Extraordinary Ability Visa-
For individuals with outstanding achievements in arts, science, business, sports, or education. Requires strong documentation and a U.S. sponsor.
P1/P2/P3 – Artist, Entertainer & Athlete Visas-
For those performing at events, tours, competitions, or cultural programs in the U.S. Covers individuals and groups under reciprocal or cultural exchange programs.
R1 – Religious Worker Visa-
For ministers, clergy, and religious workers entering the U.S. to work at registered religious organizations. Requires two years of prior membership.
TN Visa – NAFTA Professionals-
Available only to Canadian and Mexican citizens under the USMCA (formerly NAFTA). Not applicable to Indian nationals.
C1/D – Crew Member Transit Visa-
For airline or ship crew members transiting through U.S. ports. Often issued as a combined C1/D visa for easier travel during job assignments.
K1 – Fiancé(e) Visa-
Allows an Indian national engaged to a U.S. citizen to enter the U.S. for marriage. Must marry within 90 days of arrival, then apply for permanent residency.
I Visa – Media and Journalist Visa-
For representatives of foreign media coming to the U.S. for news reporting. Requires proof of employment with a foreign media house and non-commercial intent.
